Unity Day 10.21.15

Tomorrow, October 21st, schools across the country will be participating in Unity Day. The purpose of Unity Day is to bring awareness to school communities about bullying and to be united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Hazen Wildcats will replace their red and blue for Orange tomorrow to show our support for putting an end to bullying. Students will be attending a variety of activities throughout the day. These activities include:

  • a career fair in the gym for students to explore the diversity of our local community.
  • "Mix It Up" day during lunch. Students will sit with peers who they normally do not sit with to form new relationships and new understandings. There will also be a variety of raffles and trivia.
  • All students will be receiving buttons and a silicon orange bracelet with the words "The End of Bullying Begins with Me."
  • Rachel Wilson, a community member, will be here to discuss social justice and will be looking to form a social justice group here at Hazen.
